Now that the Thanksgiving holiday has passed how will you get back on track?
First renew your commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. One of the best activities you can do is to take a walk after dinner every night. It does not have to be a long walk, 20-30 minutes is enough to get energized, refreshed and work off dinner. You will sleep better and keep your weight in check.
Keep yourself hydrated. Drink water when you first wake up in the morning. After sleeping eight hours, your body gets dehydrated, the best thing you can do when you first wake up is to drink 8-10 ounces of water and better yet put in a tablespoon of ACV ( Apple Cider Vinegar). Drink water throughout the day and in the evening, enjoy a lovely cup of tea.
Thanksgiving kicks off the Holiday Season of parties, have a plan, enjoy the festivities but don’t over indulge. Think cafeteria style eating, take a little bit of everything and don’t pile it on your plate. The same goes for alcohol, enjoy but don’t overindulge. If you are counting calories and sugar content, consider, whiskey, red wine and last white wine. Healthy choices are not just when you are on a diet, making healthy choices is for life.
