I had the privilege of attending two different birthday parties for 4 year old children this past weekend and I want to give today’s parents a round of applause. I was impressed with the healthy food choices that were provided for all the party participants, grapes, cheese, crackers, berries, apple slices, humus, veggies and bottles of water. Gone are the high fructose juice drinks, processed foods and sugar enriched candy. If children think that healthy food choices are the norm at a party, they will be more likely to continue making healthy choices on their own though out their whole life. Be a good role model, lead and others will follow! Bravo!
