When following a healthy diet plan, no doubt there will be bumps in the road. Some could describe it as your ship going off course or your train derailing or a roadblock on your path, or having a mental letdown. What you decide to do next will most certainly effect the course of your journey. It’s takes a lot of courage and commitment to stay on course so first and foremost congratulate yourself for your successes thus far. There is a great saying “ No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you still are way ahead of anyone who isn’t trying” Be kind to yourself and remember that when everything else around you may be out of control, you can control one thing. You can control what you eat and what you can do, to lead a healthy lifestyle. I often bring up the imagery of a plane loosing altitude, you have to first put on your own oxygen mask before helping others. The same is true on your health journey, you have to first and foremost take care of yourself. Make yourself and your health journey your number one priority and you will be back on course steady as she goes at the helm of your ship!
