Benefits of Walking

We already know that staying active can help keep your brain in good shape,multiple studies have linked lack of exercise with mental decline over time. That alone is a motivator to exercise and walking is something everyone can do! 

Another one of the extra benefits from walking daily is reduced weight gain.

It should be noted, though, that it may take an hour a day of exercise for some people particularly women to avoid gaining weight.

Shoot for an hour of walking every day or at least five days a week if you can.If that is too difficult a commitment, don’t give up. Any exercise is better than none. Always remember that you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t even trying. If you can’t do an hour start with 20 minutes and build up over time to one hour a day.  If you can’t do it every day, start with one day and then build up to three, five, seven days a week. 

When you look at it from another perspective, your body rests everyday while sleeping 8 hours every night. most people work at a desk 8 hours a day and then either watch TV, read or play on the computer for  4 hours every day, so in comparison, 1 hour is not very much to spend on yourself to be healthier! And aren’t the extra benefits of walking daily worth it? Aren’t you worth it?
